Downpour and Soaked (A Poem)

The rain came down in buckets.
My umbrella was overwhelmed.
Downpour and soaked.
Standing and at the helm.
Reached my car all wet.
Not a pleasant sight.
Knew that I'd be feeling wet
All through the night.
Drove to the store
To get some milk for home.
Shoes are squishy and soggy.
All I can do is groan.
Downpour and soaked.
Got home and dried myself off.
Now I'm beginning to feel sick.
I can hear a little cough.

Uh oh, not sick! I hoe that cough doesn't "mean" something. The soggy shoes do not sound pleasant. Stay in now put your (hopefully dry) feet up and relax.

What the stranded commuters felt last Friday night here in Manila... soaked because of the sudden downpour!
