First of all, thank you for the topic and link, but I am sorry that I cannot open youtube in our country. Anyway from the words between in this discussion, I can tell that there must be so many guidelines for us married couples to keep our marriage together and as long as ever. Now I have been married for more than two decades and my wife and I love each other. I think that the most important part in our life is to respect each other and maintain a good relationship after getting married. Whatever we do, we discuss with each other to show our respect, which maintains our happy marriage. Take care.

You are welcome. And thank you for responding to this thread. Oh! I am very sorry you could not open this beautiful song up in your country via YouTube. I have sent the link to the lyrics of this song by Frankie Beverly and Maze. I appreciate you sharing your insights, experience over the decades and thoughts on what can keep a marriage happy and together. Certainly the maintainance of a marriage is definitely key to a happy marriage as well as communication. Those things are two of the many ingredients to a successful marraige when it comes to maintainance. There are so many guidelines for husband and wives to keep their marriage alive and fresh these days, from marriage couselors, books, videos, etc. The downfall to those well meaning avenues is that the views and suggestions change, are edited or have to be revised because of the changing trends and views about marriage. That is why my husband and I rely on the Bible to give us good stable and practical advice in keeping our marriage alive and happy. These are a few scriptural references that we consult and that help us get and stay on track when challenges confront our marriage. My husband and I realize that marriage WILL have its ups and downs, and we realize that our marriage is worth maintaining and saving, thus the work that we put into it will continually payoff to the benefit of our marriage, resulting in our drawing much closer to one another. Ephesians 5:22-24 and verse 33 Colossians 3:18 Hebrews 13:4.....These verses from the Bible are just a few that we sit down, discuss and study together as a family....Again thank you very much for your insightful thoughts on this thread. Certainly for sure, you are speaking from a wealth of experience due to the length of time in your marriage. Hoping the best for you and your wife. Unfortunately the link defaulted. Oh well, the experience we have concerning marriage is like a song
