The Best Gift You Can Give Yourself?

Right now, it's to get my 1992 station wagon fixed again. It's gone through several mechanic salvation just this year: carburetor, fan-belt, steering wheel body overhaul, radiator, tires, head lights... you name it. We could have used the money to buy me a secondhand car that's not as sick as my Falcon SW . Today, the break steps down flat onto the floor. Even my trustworthy mechanic wasn't game to drive it to his shop from my house to have it fixed. He said this morning that the break pipes, or something, has a hole because of wear-and-tear. We tried feeding it with break fluid, but to no avail. Tomorrow, he will come back with his tools and a jack. Oh, well, a new car is still not our best option to give to myself. A new home loan mortgage looming in the near future will hold us up with this "bigger gift" for quite sometime. A mechanic fix will not be quite as expensive to pay long-term for a new car, I think.
