I'm Glad I Wasn't the Only One Asking That

One of our local TV stations has a "rant line" where people can comment on news items. This afternoon there were a boatload of comments regarding an incident over the weekend.
Late Saturday night, about 2:30 in the morning, three teenage (two 14-year-olds and a 15-year-old) girls were shot when they left a party at a downtown club.
Teenagers???? Out at a downtown club at 2 in the morning???
Where were the parents?
Why is a "teen club" opened that late?
What about the curfew?
That's what I yelled at the TV Sunday morning when the "breaking news" was reported that these kids had been shot.
And today that "rant line" was filled with similar comments.
I'm glad I wasn't the only one asking things like that.
Here's wishing the kids a quick recovery.

I have to tell you, I don't think it's as much "freedom" as "parents don't care."

There simply is little parental guidance or discipline these days and I have observed that first hand.
