Double Checking My Word Choices and What Happened?

I will use words that I don't use much and usually I'll double-check that the meaning matches what my intent is. This time when using a word in a comment it showed up with a red underline and some choices. I thought it's choices were incorrect, but after googling the word found I was wrong after all. The word I planned on using was unindated whereas the correct word is inundated. Do you double-check the meanings of different words to be sure and have you ever done this before as far as mixed them up? While writing this post for some reason the dialog box changed when I was writing my title. It shifted to the left and became much smaller. It looks like it's on the screen of a phone or tablet or something as all the icons on top are on the left above the dialog box. Above that area is an x on the far left, then 320x480 which seems to be the size of this page? Then a back arrow, an icon for pressing a finger and a camera icon. Then last it says Custom User Agent. This does not show up on my tablet. Anyone else see this before or know what it is and how it shifted to this page? Well after posting this, I checked out the icons on the top of the page. It seems it's something firefox has added. I was able to change the size back to normal and the rest of the icons remain on top. When pressing the finger icon a popup shows on firefox that says: If touch even listeners have been added earlier, the page needs to be reloaded. Still a bit Greek to me, but at least the page still works.

And, since you can't really see them anyway it may not matter overmuch. Barry, you're so silly.

Odd. I'm on Firefox and never saw that. Yes, I do double check my words. I will even read my previous comments and when I see a word misused I will edit it.

I shut off my computer during the rain storm before I went to work tonight. And when I rebooted it recently those words weren't on the top of firefox like they were previously. I'll have to see if it ever shows up again.

That's all Greek to me too. I do check any words I'm unsure of, but my spelling is normally pretty good.

My spelling is pretty good, too, but for the words I don't use on a regular basis I guess it's good I double-check.

Yeah, I'd imagine your page might be filled with red underlines, so I get that. I go back and forth between chrome and firefox. Foxes chasing squirrels is that it?

I check words quite often too. The technical part is a challenge to me.

I've not looked it up per se, but it's still at the top of my screen although I did get my screen back to the correct parameters. I think I hit the wrong key when trying to shift to capitalize the M for my in my title. For some reason it threw the page into the smaller dimensions. I'll have to play with all the icons to find out how they are a benefit if they are at all. They're related to firefox, though, I think and not to mylot, so I don't see how the camera icon has anything to do with anything, but if and when I figure that out then I'll decide whether it's worth sharing or not.

All Greek to me about the technical part of it. Yes, I do double check my words sometimes while writing.

I wouldn't have guessed this was you if I didn't know your main name here of responsiveme. I was going to ask why arm, but then figured it out. Cute avatar especially that you found one with a book in hand. Seems quite apropos to me.

I don't use Firefox much, so I can't say what it is that you are seeing. I am on Chromium, which is Chrome for Linux. Now and again, I will check a word because I have learned it through reading over the years and I may want to be sure I have discerned its meaning correctly. The internet is too harsh a place to set yourself up for criticism by inadvertently saying the opposite of what you mean.

Plus if we want to be taken seriously as writers we should want to know we're talking about the right things. I go back and forth between chrome and firefox. If that was there after I updated a few days ago, I didn't notice it, but then again I've not been here a lot lately. Hope you're doing well?
