Do you read in other people's voice or accents?

I was just thinking about something, it's something that I find myself doing from time to time. If I know someone's accent or voice I will read something they wrote in their voice/accent!For an example, anytime I read an article quoting Morgan Freeman I read his quotes in his accent! Now relating this to MyLot, there are many people on this website from all over the world and it's safe to say there are a lot of different accents on here! Sometimes I'll read what someone writes after I see where they are from and then read it in an accent that I think would be from that area! Have you ever done this? Or am I crazy?

Not crazy at all. I think it is silly and fun. My favorite voice to read in is Arnold Schwarzenegger whether it is something he said or not! lol

Oh yes I can definitely relate to that! I remember reading the Harry Potter books a certain way before the movies came out and then when the movies came out I started reading them and imagining the characters on how they were in the movies.

Haha, maybe! When I read the Harry Potter books sometimes I read it in Jim Dale's voice since he's the one that does the audiobooks.

I don't think you're crazy. If it's a distinctive voice like Morgan Freeman, I'm definitely hearing it in his voice. But I am not sure I "hear" the voices of the folks on myLot.. I probably don't have that good an imagination. I think I hear them in my own inner voice.

Yeah I can understand that. I do have a wild imagination and am very creative so I'm not too surprised that I do this.

sure..i do it too....especially for people who ive heard. Here on MyLot however......I read it without any other voice but my own. There is something different about how each person write....but it don't impact the voice in my head that I read it with.
