Euthanasia

This is a controversial and sensitive topic, but I really want to know what people think about this. Should euthanasia (assisted suicide) be banned or is it a right of people to decide if they want to die due to some circumstances?

That's insane! For terminally ill or disabled people it's a bit understood, but for rape victims and blind people? Straight up crazy and a violation of rights.

Do you have some evidence that support what you say ? It sounds crazy indeed.

It's a decision I hope I never have to make. However, I do understand how pain, suffering, or hopelessness can make someone consider this path.

Yes. And we can't really judge a person who wants this unless we have been in their shoes which I pray to God we never are.

It is not controversial but definitely debatable. The view of euthanasia is not supported in any religion . So religion says no . That said even homosexuality is not endorsed by any religion. I think one require a lot of courage to make a law which would be against the religious text. Wont deny the fact that to see your loved ones suffering is disheartening.

@sakinasaifee18 I guess people can use it to serve their interest. Overall it does seem such a law could be misuse .

I believe that if someone suffers from a very critical, painful condition which can't be ever treated, then they have a right to willfully die rather than endure the pain and suffering. But this decision shouldn't be made under any sort of pressure.

I think its freedom of choice. It's not up to us to decide what people are allowed to do with their lives. We as by-standers do not know...and many a times do not comprehend what others are going through...something that's easy for us to deal with...need not be easy for everyone. Peoples capacity to withstand situations differs. Sure if it's someone like family or friend...we can try to change their mind...because we have a right over them...they are attached to us. But like...who am I to say anything...if my friends relative decides to give up? I do not know their life...I can wish for them to not...but it's not up to me. Freedom of choice.....

Yes we can't know someone's feelings or pain unless we step into their shoes.
