Who says cattleya can only be in Brazil and Argentina. Well, this lovely flower of orchid family is also blooming in every Filipino's garden. Its just so lovely seeing this purple-petal flower with the curly in the edge and somewhat yellow in the middle. The big petals are more captivating than its family's flowers. Having this kind of orchid in the garden will surely give more color and beauty in your home.

The common cattleya found in the Philippines I think is mostly white but now we have lots of hybrids. If you love orchids, buy in Baclaran ( a place and market in metro Manila), you can also buy dendrobiums and vandas for 50 pesos or just over a dollar.

@ilocosboy but be careful there are also lots of scammers there, they will sell you orchids that look like they have rooted on husks when actually the are attached by hidden pins and dry up after a few days, some do not even have
roots
