Good morning everyone! So it was Rakshabandhan yesterday ( an indian festival). It's a festival for brothers and sisters wherein sisters tie Rakhi on her brother's wrists. It's such an amazing festival and I completely enjoyed it :)

Season's greetings to you. It was a great day yesterday, although I actually tied rakhi to my brother on 15th since our family got together for my niece's birthday and yesterday was not holiday for him. But I still tied rakhis to my son sent over by his cousins and I prepared our traditional 'narali bhaat' which is sweet fragrant rice prepared with coconuts and dried fruits and nuts. It was a great day yesterday.

@Pass12 No not kheer, this is prepared exactly the way you would prepare pulao or jeera rice etc, only difference is it is sweet in taste with plenty of freshly grated coconut added. I am sorry that I cannot put up a picture because I didn't take any when I prepared the rice.

@kalyani1234 maybe I am wrong then but the description quite matches to kheer too! It's also sweet rice with grated coconut and some dry fruits.
