Michael Moore Suggests Trump is Trying to Sabotage his Campaign

So I read this article by Michael Moore suggesting that Donald Trump is deliberately sabotaging his own campaign, because he really doesn't want to become president, and that it was a bit of a publicity stunt and negotiating tactic that was never intended to be taken seriously but got really out of control. So he's now trying to make sure he won't be elected. Moore says that he's spent an afternoon with Trump, but I don't know if that went well. I don't know much about Moore (and most of what I do know comes from team America: World Police - not exactly a factual source to say the least!) but I think he's rather more liberal than Trump is. It's not an entirely serious article.

If he does not want to get elected, he should tell the Republicans to put up another candidate. It is not fair to the Republicans if he purposely does it to avoid becoming a President. I think it is best that he withdraws from the race, and help someone else to become a candidate for the party.

I have no idea as to whether or not Moore was being serious, or whether Trump really doesn't want to be president. If true, he should probably bail now. It would certainly explain why he's doing so much damage to himself.

@scheng1 Although that might not be what you want a president to do.

@egdcltd Trump is a perfectly egotistic person. I doubt he will want to get out of the race now. It will be a great honor for him to become the President, and he can blast about everyone that he hates.

Let's face it, I keep saying nobody could make this stuff up! It's like nobody could possibly really be as crazy as Donald has become but who knows.

I'm hardly a politician but even I can see he's not saying things like a politician would.

I think this is just an election atmosphere that is always characterized by any form of accusations.

Which seems to be most US elections these days. It seems that people just can't play nice with those who don't absolutely agree with them.

The article is actually quite interesting. Maybe Moore is correct. Who knows. I would not like to be in Trumps position at the moment. Then again, I would not like to be in Clintons position at the moment either. It seems to me that Trump is silly, but he is not stupid. I think Moore may have a pretty good point.

It would explain a few things. He's been on television for years; surely he knows when you need to keep your mouth shut. Or perhaps he's just used to being edited, so going out unedited means your problems can't be fixed before going out.
