Why cats like to sit on the laptop?

Here are my three reasons: 1. Humans keep on touching the keyboard, they keep on cuddling it. Why? I'm jealous, meow! 2. This keyboard smells like my owner, aww. (It is more of a dog thing perhaps) 3. Laptops can be warm, and we kittens love warmth. Or we just don't understand what is so interesting about the keyboard. Is there a prey to hunt?

My Rose cat also likes to sit on my lappy keyboard.

Warmth plus they will be right in front of you and therefore hard to ignore!

I don't know the reason behind that. I have also one cat but it never do like that.

maybe the keypad massages them or something. lol

Rin doesn't really lie or sit on the laptop. Sierra, my other cat enjoys walking across the keyboard of the laptop. That has resulted in the following occurring: Printer program popping up. Various windows of command popping up. Voice Over activated. New Facebook Friends I've never heard of, and various other issues. I've had to also unplug the all in one printer because she knows how to turn it on and watch the paper come out, fully printed (either from a page on the net, or a test page). Most cats I know enjoy it for the warmth. Sierra is just very curious. Although there was one time she did actually sit on the laptop. I made a meme out of it too. Lol.

Cats love sitting on laptops specially on the keyboard because of two things: first, they like the warm temperature of the computer and second, they are looking for your attention so they can cuddle with their human.

I have also been told it is because the computer is warm and they like to sit on warm things. That is why some people's cats will sit on top of pizza boxes or in the window sill because the sun warms it up or even on top of the TV.
