Wonderful! Someone or some people have festooned every available railing in Oxford's Radcliffe Square with crotcheted flowers. No idea why. Would you do it? Have you ever seen anything like it? I think I may knit a lamp post a scarf this year.

Funny you should mention that because one time last winter I did see a lamp post wearing a scarf. I thought that was pretty cool. It was actually a part of a program they have here. People tie scarves around lamp poles and the homeless people or people who can't afford their own can take them to keep warm. I like the picture. It looks very welcoming with the flowers along the railing!

Now, that is very cool. I am going to tie scarves around lamp posts next winter.

I love things like this. We had a couple of bikes festooned in bright knitware in my little town a couple of years ago. Cambridge city centre and the parks often have the yarn bombers visit and pop things on trees and railings and whatnot. They brighten the place up and make everyone cheery.

The library knitters started doing that, but it didn't really catch on or get added to.

That's a shame. I have now discovered there is an organisation that does this.
