Brian Mc Tagggart reports the news on Friday the Houston Astros have called up from their AAA minor league team right handed relief pitcher Brad Peacock.
Peacock had spent the entire 2016 baseball season with the Astros AAA minor league team the Fresno Rough Riders before he was promoted to work as a relief pitcher for the team on Friday.
To make room for Peacock on the Astros 25 man roster, the Astros decided to demote right handed rookie pitcher James Hoyt to their AAA minor league team in Fresno.
Hoyt had pitched in nine games as a relief pitcher pitching in 8 and 2/3 innings with a pitching record of no wins and no losses with an earned run average of 7.27 which was the reason the Astros decided to send him back to Fresno to work on his pitching form so he could possibly return to the team when the rosters expand from 25 to 40 players on September 1, 2016.

It's case of exchanging one minor leaguer for another to if he can do better.

Peacock has more time in the Majors than Hoyt.
