Well it happened it again!!!
God is so cool! This time He took me on a scenic route, to get my prayer answered. LOL
Well my funds were limited again. I used up the $50 I found a couple weeks back. Plus...since then, I had found a $4, and a $5 winning ticket.
Anyway... I needed to go out to do a few things, and asked God if I could get some extra cash. I even said, that I didn't care how much. I was just running low on some $$$, and it would be nice to not have an empty wallet. LOL
I went to the library for a while, and after that, I stopped over at a grocery mart to pick up a few things.
Well... Here's how it went:
I picked up a grocey cart, and went to the trash, to throw something away. I happened to look down, and there was a $1 bill in the trash can.
Then once I was through shopping. I paid for my items, and loaded them in my cart. As I was pushing off, I noticed a lotto ticket that was sticking up out of the trash can, standing there close by. I picked it up, then put it in my pocket.
Once I put my groceries in the car, I went to the driver's seat, and pulled out the ticket from my pocket. Low and behold... You guessed it. There was a match to one of the winning numbers. I scratched it off to see how much I found, and it was $15!!!
Whooo Hoooo! I received a total of $16, at the grocery mart!!!
Now I am heading home, and right before I get to the entrance of the apartment complex, I decided to stop into the convenience store. Saw several small lotto tickets that had been tossed. I picked them up, and headed home.
When I arrived... I looked at the tickets, and would you believe it, I found another small win. It was for $2...
That gives me a grand total of $18 that I found, after I asked God if I could have a little extra cash! LOL
God is too cool! I mean... He is being a "real" dad to me! When I need a few bucks; all I have to do is say..."Dad"...I am low on cash, can I have a few $$$??? And whalla!!! He gives it to me!!!
I tell you... This is really helping to build my faith!!! A lot!!!!

Once a ticket is thrown away, then the ticket no longer belongs to them. So if it is found by another person, then they are allowed to keep the ticket. If it is a winner, then they can claim the money. The only way they can't is...if the person who originally bought the ticket, signs the back of the ticket they purchased. However, that rarely happens. So most tickets that are found, become the property of the person who found them.

@teresatrotter I see. Why would someone throw away a ticket with money still on it? I mean, they bought it hoping to win something. Were they just not able to see what you see on them?

@Rajo14 - People play these things too fast, and just miss it...I guess.

sounds like you really had a streak of fortune there, I am surprised how sloppy people are with lotto tickets!

I'm not... I have been collecting these for a few years. If still lived in Texas, I would really be raking in the money. Though it does not happen often... One summer for two months straight, I found almost $1,000 each month, in tickets that were thrown away. Here in Florida, I have not even come close. But I have not looked that hard either.

@teresatrotter I need to start looking apparently, hubby was out of work for so long, if I could find something nice like that I could get us a bit more out of the hole from that

Sounds like miracles and blessings to me for sure.
I rarely pick up lottery tickets laying around, but guess I should. I did once find some in the grocery parking lot. All of them were winners totalling $15. It was like they accidentally threw out the winners and kept the losers. Or, maybe they knew someone in need would find the winners.
