I Came Up With A New Game

Well, really it’s an “old” game with a NEW twist. “Family Feud” is the “old” game. It’s a regular TV show here in the USA, which is very popular on the Game Show Channel. A friend of mine who is planning a party for our congregation asked me if I could come up with a game that we could play at the party. (She knows that I’m a TRIVIA nut) It was her idea to base the game on the “Family Feud” TV show, but she wanted all the questions to be Bible-based. It took me quite a while to figure out how that could be done, but I’m satisfied with my efforts. You see, each question has to have several RIGHT answers, so I had to come up with questions that have multiple answers. Here are a few that I came up with: For each question, the possible answers would be limited to SIX, or the game would be too long. Names of the 12 apostles of Jesus. Names of the 12 tribes of Israel. The Ten Commandments Trees mentioned in the Bible Illustrations that Jesus used Bodies of water mentioned in the Bible Kings of Israel Pagan gods mentioned in the Bible Then, I also had to find a signaling device and at the Thrift Store, I found the perfect thing. It’s an antique hotel desk bell. You know the kind that a person would hit with their hand if no one was behind the hotel desk when you wanted to check in. This one is brass and works really well. I was so proud of myself for finding it and she loved it. Now, I have to figure out the scoring of the answers and how we will display the answers, since we won’t have the electronic scoring board that is on the TV show. I’m still working on that. Any suggestions would be welcome We plan to do the party in October, so I still have a few weeks to figure this out. What questions can you think of? Picture by Pixabay
