Did You Ever Belong To the 4-H Club?

Before I became a teen-ager, I belonged to the 4-H Club in the town where I lived. I enjoyed some of the activities, but once I learned how to dance and roller skate, I moved on to other interests. I don’t know if the 4-H Club is still around or if there are any 4-H Clubs in other countries besides the USA. I’ll have to research that. I don’t remember a whole lot about belonging to the 4-H Club, but I do remember what the 4 H’s stood for. Head – Heart – Hand – Health. And I also remember that I was the catcher on the softball team. Do you or your children belong to any Clubs? There’s the Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts and lots of others I’m sure. What’s popular in your area for children? I know there are lots of Sports Clubs too. Kids need fun activities to keep them busy, I think, and also to learn how to get along with other kids. Sportsmanship and meeting challenges, builds stronger personalities and makes kids feel better about themselves, I think.

I wondered which countries might have such clubs. So Chile does not. OK

Yes, the 4-H was very much involved with farming and raising animals.

No I didn't. I did belong to Bluebirds and Campfire Girls when I was a kid in Oregon. They were more popular in our area than Girl Scouts. Nobody was putting me in any position on a baseball team, lol. It was more like "pick Sue last!" So I really admire you for being a catcher. I love watching baseball, but I am no athlete!

OH, I loved to play softball. I grew up with three brothers, so I was into all sorts of sports and games.
