How do you deal with the ups and downs and fears of living with an active alcoholic?

Im lucky my husband has been sober for going on 14 years. but the first few years of are marriage was rough.. I went to alanon because most people become a co-dependant.. I started to live my life again. and he started to wake up. I no longer tried to track him down or worry about the what ifs.. and carried on with my life.the next thing I new he put himself in a rehab. and has been sober ever sence.. That and alot of prayers.. It helped me the most..
