Changing times with less creativity for our children

I remember those days when I was growing up,we would improvise our playing things like balls, propellers and even made toy cars. But in this time and era,I think everything has changed because we tend to buy ready-made play things for our children.Even balloons are bought and in our times,we would take polythene papers fill them with air then tying them with a string and we were good to go. But anyway I think its still part of an advancement in the way things are continually being done presently.

And before we play with our playmates not with our gadgets . And the gadgets don't give physical exercise to the kids .

This is so true. We have lost a bit of that creativity. I miss those days too. We live in a fast world now where there are forever changing. Things were different back then.

Play things are readily available in shops for the kids of today unlike those days when it was a struggle on our part to come up with play things to make our playing games more enjoyable.

I loved that I had a childhood before all the gadgets. I'm trying to get my son into other toys and such, but sadly he likes my phone or the TV too much. The digital world is good for teaching too though, I won't knock that.

I sometimes watch my son making paper boats and birds but once he picks the phone he can get stuck with it for hours.

What I find sad is that children hardly seem to play outside any more.

There are lots of indoors games and this pinch of sad reality added by easily available playing gadgets.I at times force my little boy to go play outside who at times prefer to get glued to the phone playing some games.

Even if we are in a world of advances in technology, its still important to exercise physically while playing with their friends and with their play things.

true, and we used to go outdoors to play, mingle with friends and have fun with nature. now, the children are happy with their gadgets and even for any tiny project they depend on internet!

That's true they depend on computers and other digital devices and this definitely affects their social life with other children and people around them.

Too bad they do not have the opportunity to acquire new skills, something that they get by improvising their play things.
