Have You Ever Gone Whale Watching?

I have never seen a whale in the wild and I've never gone whale watching. It is something that resides high up on my bucket list. I think it would be utterly euphoric to witness a giant whale breaching the surface of the ocean. I get shivers seeing video of it so I imagine seeing it in real life would be beyond amazing. Sadly, I live very, very far from any ocean; farther away from an ocean than just about any place on the North American continent. But still I hope to some day cross that off my bucket list.
Have you ever seen a whale in the wild? How exciting was it?

I have never gone a whale watch cruise but I have seen a whale on the Oregon coast while waiting in line to enter Sea Lion Cave.

Good for you, @JohnRoberts . I've spent quite a few hours on the beaches of Oregon (and Washington and California) but never saw a whale.

I haven't done that either. I do live in Califoria although inland, it's a rather circuitous route to get there. It's definitely an experience I want to have. Ihaven't gotten out much in the past several years unfortunately.
