Today is my birthday and the last day my kids are home for summer vacation

Today is my 33rd birthday. I'm 33 on the 22nd :-) So far on facebook I received 66 happy birthday posts on my wall and 2 private messages as well as 2 texts and a birthday card from my grandmother. It took me about an hour to respond to all the comments on facebook. My kids and I will be going to my sisters house after lunch for cake. The first day of school is tomorrow so I want to take the kids out for ice cream (our last visit for the summer will make our total 20 different ice cream shops) and to get last minute things like food for lunches etc.

It was delicious.We went to a dairy farm where they make the ice cream. There are a lot of little shops that sell that brand in the area but this is where it is actually made so we saved this for the last day of summer vacation and my birthday.

@SIMPLYD No it is quite a bit more in the shops then at the actual farm as the shops have to make profit after buying it off the farm to sell it.

Thank you. I am waiting on my parents so I can get our day started. Its already 2 pm. I hate waiting around for people. I could have left early today and returned by now if I had known :-/

Happy Birthday! My sister is like your grandmother, she's the only one I know who still airmail birthday cards... Every year, I'd receive a single birthday card in the mail, and without fail it is always from her and no one else... 20 different ice cream shops! Did you mean several different places of Baskin Robbins or there are really 20 different brands of ice cream shops?

Well each shop sells a brand of ice cream like Perrys or Turkey Hill etc. But we went to 20 different shops within about a 3 hour drive over the summer. This last one was on a farm. It was where they make the ice cream and then lots of other ice cream shops sell this brand as well. I wanted to show my kids where it comes from the cows that they actually get the milk from etc. It is delicious!

My parents got me a new palm tree plant and a used but like new keurig coffee machine. The plant was my favorite gift.

We wound up having to stay out later then I had wanted to get my daughter a few new pairs of pants and food for their lunches. Otherwise it was a good day.
