Opening a torrent website can land you in jail in India

Indian government inorder to remove piracy has now taken a decision to penalize anyone opening a torrent website..
Do you think if just opening a torrent website is fair enough to be penalized and pay INR 300000/- if found guilty..
What do you think??

Its a peer to peer network where u share and download files which are violating privacy terms... helpful for those people who cant access the western world shows as it doesnt appear on their television

Still people of India by passing the network by using proxies. In order to remove privacy its a great step. But but from my inner heart I am also totally upset with this news.

yaa i heard about this news recently, in-addition to penalty, there is 3 years jail punishment also. but in some website they are stating that so far there is no official announcement for public outliing this law.
Any way from my point of view, I am supporting this govt decision, but it might effect our new generation people a lot as most of them are constant users of seeing pirated version videos,illegal videos etc

thats are only hope to watch english movies/ shows which dont telecast in India.
