Bird of Paradise Plant Died

When I started having issues with this plant I called the place where my son bought it. We even took it out there. I asked them if they thought it needed transplanted and they said no that it would be ok in that pot for about six more months. Yesterday I finally broke down and dumped the pot. I shouldn't of listened to the lady. It was root bound super bad. No wonder the poor thing didn't make it. That goes to show that people working at nurseries doesn't always know the correct answer.

I am sorry to hear about that bird of paradise of yours . In our house , we have lots of birds of paradise and they are thriving so well. Though , no one cultivates nor showers it . It is just thriving by itself and have lots of flowers .

Thank you my friend. I do want to get another one some day. They had small ones on sale at a store awhile back and I didn't buy one. Dumb me!

That's a shame as it probably could have been saved.

You are right. I should of done what I felt needed to be done. I did keep the roots. I have them stored in my storage shed. Maybe a miracle will happen.
