They were all up right next to the shore when I got to the lake. But, by the time I got out of my car, they were back out where they normally are. I was able to get a couple photos though, including this one.

pelicans looks cute and innocent but I know they have darkside. I thought they only eat fish but I saw a viral video where a Pelican attacked pigeons and ate them.

I know how you feel. I've never looked at chipmunks the same way ever since seeing one mutilate an earthworm.

@srhelmer I thought Chipmunks are vegans that only eats nuts? Oh I remember I had a discussion with a former Survivor contestant and she told me something never shown on TV. She killed a Pelican on the show, then producers didnt allow her to eat it because Pelicans apparently have gazillions of parasites.

Very cool picture. I have never seen a pelican in real life. I only see pictures of them. Maybe some day I will have that pleasure. They sure are interesting looking birds.

This is actually the first year I've seen them even though I knew they were on our lake somewhere. There were about two dozen of them this morning.

They were looking a bit like weird-shaped buoys out there. The waves would push them under to the point only their head was showing then they would bounce up.
