Well, I just finished off a box of Raisin Bran. I have no idea what happened at the factory, but I think that too many raisins were released making for a very "raisin heavy" box of cereal! I had gotten into the habit of picking most of them out and transferring them to the raisin container. One bowl I can remember had 40 raisins in it.
If we keep buying Raisin Bran, I don't think that we will every have to buy raisins again. Its a good thing that I like them because no one else seems to! I love them... just not in pies. That was one of the pies that mom made all the time and I hated it.
Have you ever had raisin pie??

I wonder if raisins were really plentiful and inexpensive when we were kids??

Yeh I'm not crazy about raisin-heavy. Unless they are chocolate covered. I've never had a raisin pie, it doesn't sound that good to me.

Yeah... chocolate covered are good!! Raisin Pie... way too sweet from what I remember!

I have never eaten raisin pie. I have had mincemeat pie with raisins in it but not just raisins alone. I love raisins. I used to bake and put them in everything when the kids were small. They were in pancakes, oatmeal, cookies, cakes, coffee cake or whatever.

You are right... I forgot about mincemeat pies... love those and pretty much everything else on your list... just not the pie lol!
