Scott Erskine reports the news on Wednesday Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim closer Huston Street will miss the rest of the current baseball season after he had surgery on his right knee.
The good news is that Street, 33, will be able to resume his pitching activities in the 2017 Major League Baseball season barring any injuries or tragic events.
The Angels will go with right handed relief pitcher Fernando Salas as their closer for the rest of the current baseball season.
Since the Angels are not in contention to make a playoff run this year due to injuries to their key players, the loss of Street as their closer will give other players on the team a chance to get their feet wet as a player on the Angels team for the remainder of this baseball season.

At this point it doesn't matter. Street may be done. The worst is that they signed him to a contract extension so he can't be unloaded. Just another chapter in the Angels nightmare.

I understand your viewpoint that the ownersh of the Angels have dropped the ball again.
