If publishers dont give accurate figures to writers is it fare?

According to Copyright Act in India, writers get only 10 % of the sale price of books. Publishers have the information as to number of copies sold. Even by using ISBN No it is not possible to know how many copies are sold. So if writers are not given their royalty or right figures are not disclosed publishers have an edge. Is it fare?

No, it is not fair. Writers often get the shaft and are treated unfairly for all their work. Who gets the other 90%? Glad to see you back on here, been missing you.

@sathviksouvik Life is never fair, especially if you are an author.

Thanks Jo for the kind words. Yes, the book that is shown above is written by me. It is Law of Crimes. It is a 1300 page book which costs Rs 1350 or 25 dollars. I as writer only get 10 %. But if the publisher does not disclose to me the right amount of sales, I will always remain at a loss.
