A family being reunited.

My college roommate just got the best news of her life from a family memeber that she never knew she had. All her life her mother has told her that her father was abusive, didn't want her, and walked on them, but tonight her father's sister (her aunt) found her on Facebook. She showed her pictures of herself when she was a baby and told her information about her mother that you would only know if you had met her & knew her personally. She spoke to her dad for the first time tonight and he told her that he had been looking for her since the day her mother took him from her and that he loved her and thought about her every day. I know what some of you may think, that her mother left to protect her, but her mother is not good to her and abused her growing up and was in to drugs heavy. Her mother still calls her when she is high or drunk and cusses at her for no reason.He told her that she had to younger brothers and that he lived in Texas now and wanted to fly her out to meet all of them. That had a whole conversation and she found out that her uncle is a marine biologist and that is what she is coming to school for. Her dad told her that he eas proud of her and that she was very smart. She was crying when I got back to the room and she was so excited to tell me about it . She is going to talk to him more on the phone and through Skype to get to know him better before meeting him in person. I am very happy for her and that she is going to get the chance to have a real family who loves and cares about her.
