Are there aliens in the universe as we know it!?

When you look at the night sky and glance into the stars, you must have felt what if we are not alone in the universe?
However, a recent study found out that there is earth-sized planet called proxima b in the habitable zone of the nearest star to the sun Proxima-Centauri and space organizations are planning to send a spacecraft right over there in the next few years to see alien life..
What do you myLotters think.... are we alone in the universe or there's some star-trek beings present!?

The possibilities of having other inhabitants like us or with differences in this universe cannot be denied at all with so many ongoing researches and experiments for detecting the same.We,the human beings are also like "äliens" for those unidentified inhabitants of other planets of this universe,i guess..

I do believe there are human beings aside from us, in distant planets in our universe. its just a matter of time we can met them. I believe the people in NASA have already found it but they just kept it confidential.

The universe is so big that to say we are the only ones alone in this universe is quite improbable. So I say there are aliens of course. Who knows. Maybe they have their own version of mylot on their planet.

@enlightenedpsych2 I think it's because some people are way too religious or extremist to their beliefs. Some just can't find a line between other beings and science or just our own beliefs and us.

with the vast number of galaxies, stars, planets and solar systems out there in the universe, the overwhelming odds are that there is alien life somewhere. May be vastly different from what we think, but there is no doubt in my mind that other life forms exist out in the universe!

I don't believe we are alone in the universe. There is a lot out there that we haven't explored yet, so there is no telling what is out there. I find it very hard to believe that in all that space and all those different galaxies that earth is the only place with life on it.
