Could You Live Without Coffee?

I am happy to report that I've now gone two months without having coffee! I suffer terribly with anxiety issues, and coffee isn't good if you have anxiety problems due obviously to the caffeine. I would drink on average 6 mugs a day, I would always have it black with two sweeteners. I was also starting to get a lot of headaches, whether it was due to the caffeine and so I decided to stop drinking coffee. Now I know going 'cold turkey' isn't advisable for any kind of drug, whether it's prescriptive drugs, smoking, non prescriptive and even coffee, as you get any amount of withdrawal symptoms. But as I drink pepsi which contains caffeine, I decided to do just that, I totally quick coffee. I've tried the decaffeinated coffee but it didn't appeal to me. I also noticed too my less frequent trips to the lavatory. So, it's now been 2 months and I haven't touched coffee, and do I miss it? Honestly, NO. I don't. But I have noticed my headaches have gone and my anxiety isn't as bad. Now if I had to give up Pepsi that wouldn't be so easy, but I have cut it down. 330ml a day (equates to 1 can) and 2 litres over the weekend. Have you ever given up coffee for health reasons, or you just went off it and could you give up coffee for good?

I don't drink coffee at all so yes I could give it up. The only caffeine that I drink is from tea and I don't drink that often either.

I went off coffee for about a month when I had a nasty case of acid reflux. Had to heal that. I think the only way I got through that was because I take pain pills. Before, if I went without coffee the headache was just too awful.I'm very fond of my one large mug of coffee in the morning, so I'm not giving it up. UNLESS there is another health reason.

I hate coffee. A nice cup of tea is much better for you and smells so much nicer.

I can live without coffee but I won't be that productive & active for the rest of the day.
