Does it bother you that Donald Trump's new campaign CEO is a hero of the alt-right?

The rhetoric about whether Donald is a racist or a bigot is heating up as he has the gall to publicly call Hillary Clinton a bigot. For some unknown reason, regardless of how frequently Donald has made racist or xenophobic comments, there have been those who have continued to defend him and have even acted shocked when somebody says he's a racist jerk, but I'd hope this recent hire will put all the doubts to rest once and for all. Nobody would hire somebody who's long been affiliated with a website that caters to the alt-right, which is the new name for white supremacists, white nationalists, neo-Nazis and other hate groups against minorities, Jews, women and the LGBT community among other groups. We can NOT allow Donald and his campaign to bring these horrible people into the mainstream of our society in America! If that happens we truly will no longer be great and we could go down a road we'll never come back from.

I've never been one for hyperbole but for the first time in my life I honestly fear that if he were to become President it would be the end of life as we know it, quite possibly the end of life PERIOD. Imagine Donald with our nuclear football.

Just to add: We stopped being 'great' a long time ago. We're just mediocre these days. Many other countries passed us in academics, military, economics, wealth, international standing, technology, and so on. And it certainly doesn't help having the person other than Trump take advantage of the working class to further her private agendas.
It's the first time I've heard of the "alt-right" but I did look it up, so now I know.
Just wondering; what's your ideal America?

@anniepa Health care escaped me, but it's not entirely true that the care exceeds us in other areas. Even in countries that take care of their people, a lot still come to America for specialized treatments. "Health care availability" would probably surpass us. I don't think a system of health care is good when it relies on middle men to get it to everyone.
I don't know what the American Exceptionalism is. So why do you assume I have been attacking anyone? I have been trying to improve my life so I can help others. Unfortunately that help is delayed as long as people insist that my money needs to be taken away because shame on me for working to earn it.
I have no opinion on alt-right because I don't support or denounce it in anyway. People will do what people do, because they are angry and it happens regardless of race and religion. As someone that was bullied growing up I actually do know what it's like to be singled out and ganged up on. I didn't get help from the system. I didn't break any laws and stood up for myself. Eventually it stopped. I figure if I could do it, so can others.
Funny, I want those things as well, but certainly not derived from a handout system, because those never work in the long run. I hope everyone in that ideal America is working hard to acheive those things. If they aren't, what stake do they have in such a reality?
Before you get mad I'm training in resource management (taking care of the planet) and people are also a resource, and one that is being horribly wasted right now. If we want to climb the rungs of life to success for all, working is the best start. I spent my day sweating hard on a hot rooftop that I was replacing. I wasn't getting paid but the job needed to be done. Improvements of all kind only help advance the country. Were you working hard as well?

@anniepa I don't think making america great was ever on his agenda. He had a plan and an approach of things he wanted and set about doing them. I can't say I agree with the outcomes but probably because I was expecting greatness and it didn't happen.
If the KKK didn't exist then Hollywood wouldn't have come about. There are interesting things that happen in history that are studied and occur that lead to things we don't think about. I don't really have anything to do with the different groups and their objectives. Women are awesome. I went to many Jewish functions in college. I used to know more people internationally than domestically. My best friend is a gay man. One of my cousins is gay, and I know tons of bisexuals and lesbians that I talk to all the time. However, I won't fight on their behalf because I believe they can take care of themselves, and it's not like I'm supporting the groups against them.
Wages should be decided by the state based on the cost of living. I don't think ladder jobs should be livable pay grades, especially when the balance of the entire system can't handle the economic adjustment needed to compenstate for the wage increase along the line. I vote for a small % flat tax. Everyone pays the same percentage of income, and it could be less than 10% if government was reduced in size. I don't think it's very fair to punish people for working hard and earning equivalent wages.
It would be interesting to see what Donald has paid, but I don't think he could slide past all the nets when it comes to taxes.

@OneOfMany Morgan, I sure hope you never find yourself in a position where you need someone to "fight for you". I hope this doesn't offend you but I really find much of what you said to be rather condescending. The typical "I have a black (or gay or whatever) friend". As far as your economic views, we'll have to agree to disagree. A flat 10% tax would not only not come remotely close to funding what NEEDS to be funded in our country but it would totally cripple lower and middle income families. Obviously "if government was reduced in size" those are also who would be punished.
I've little doubt Donald could and probably DID legally slide past all the nets when it came to taxes. Mark Cuban has had quite a bit to say on this matter, he can explain it better than I can, but it has to do with Donald claiming losses on his various real estate properties.
