Do you share a table with someone you don't know?

Whenever I go to the mall alone, I sometimes share a table with strangers. This is usually happens if I eat in a fast food chain. However, I don’t talk to them. I noticed some people love to open up a communication with them. I find it weird to have a conversation with a stranger especially while eating my meal. How about you? Do you talk with a stranger while eating your meal out in a crowded fast food? Image Credit: pixabay.com

yes. i prefer to share the table with those who are alone, too, and yes, i've talked to them and learned interesting things. i don't find it weird since i'm not going to see them again, anyway.

You have a point here. We can still be friendly to them.

Nope I don't. I hardly go eat by myself if ever. And if I am with someone, nope.

I agree. It would not be nice to talk to strangers if we are with someone.

I usually dine with my five year old son and we sometimes share a table with strangers. Sometimes we do talk with them and sometimes not. I think it depends on my impression of them. There was this one time that we share a table with an old man and it was pretty nice. He shared stories about his children and is really proud of them.

I think it is fine to share stories with strangers while sharing table with them.

@Shavkat well, unless you are seated in a table for one only. one that is pressed on the wall, in a corner, far from other eaters.

I agree it is inevitable to refrain from not sitting with strangers. I would also answer back if they asked something.

Although I seldom will share a table with others, but if it happens, it is OK with me. Usually we will just smile to each other and that's all.

It doesn't happen very often, because I don't eat out in crowded places that much, but I enjoy conversing with new people when it does.

I do agree. If the stranger is friendly enough, then we can also entertain them.
