Would you ever let a friend or family member pick a tattoo for you? I saw on buzzfeed ones that some people let a friend or family member pick and design a tattoo for them. Some really cool and well designed. I personally wouldn't let some to pick out my tattoo because I like designing my own. I have one that I have designed out just haven't put the money aside just yet to get it done.

A tattoo is way to permanent for me....if I ever decide to get one....the choice of design will be my own. Besides, people I know would tell me to make such decisions myself anyway.

very true. I don't want someone picking for me. I like to pick my own thing. I have a tattoo and I designed it myself and my husband has the same one as me.

I wouldn't mind helpful suggestions but I wouldn't have anything I didn't like. I think ultimately it would have to be my choice.

I can agree with you on that. I think making it my own choice of if i want something or not and designing it myself.

@ShyBear88 I wouldn't mind if someone chose something I really liked especially if it was unusual but it is permanent so it would have to be something attractive to me.

@sprite1950 the only person I can think of that could pick a good tattoo for me is my husband. He knows what I like and we talk about tattoos together a lot and bounce ideas odd do each other. We wouldn't let each other get a tattoo with our any meaning or reason behind it.

it's a big deal so I always tell people think about it a lot and then we you think you wanted think some more. The more you think about it the more you will either feel for it or not.

I'm sorry, but I don't like tattoos, I know many of you think they are great, but I always think, will you still love them when you are 50 or 60 years old? I don't think so.

I think you are wrong someone is in,y going to hate their tattoo years later if you get it with no meaning or reason behind it. If will love my tattoo still when I'm 50 or 60 years old because I will still remember why I got that tattoo. I had a miscarriage and the tattoo of those small baby feet with the word loved under it brings me comfort and that I love that baby I never meet just as much as my three living children. When I get my second tattoo with my children name in the sign of the infinty I will love that tattoo till the day I die. I wouldn't possibly hate something with my children's names. You just can't assume that all people are going to hate something later in life people they got a tattoo.

@RubyHawk even old people, now men and women pretty much love them. Those that don't are very small. Normally it's because they got a tattoo with someone because theybthoughtnthry where in love or so,etching. Now ans last 30 years or so most people get them as reminders. Although my father in all just likes pain and gets tattoos cause he has the money for it. No real reason behind it.

@ShyBear88 you're right. I can't know how you feel. I was speaking from my prospective and tattoo's I've seen on older women.

It depends on the design or whatever they chose for me. I wouldn't just say, "Yeah pick something and I will do it", but if they brought me a great idea that they think I would like, I might consider it. I have a couple tattoos already and want more! Here's a pic of mine:
