Someone said the rain will come. Expect the heavy which is possibly brought by typhoon or monsoon. But an elderly also told me that it means no rain. When the dragonfly flies low, do not expect the rain because that is what they signal. Common belief lies in this big insect that you can see them in front of your house while flying low. Most of them numbered in 100's. But I don't know if it means no rain or does it bring lots of water. In your place, what it means to you when dragonfly flies low?

I can't see single dragonfly here in the city. But in the province, lots of them are flying around especially if it's sunny.

It will rain I think. Just like when a mosquito buzzes, it means something also

yes, animals are the best weather forecaster, better than the high tech aparatus of Pag-asa.

If i see a dragon fly it means of a possible rain. but if i see ants flocking everywhere, you know it will rain since they will save food for the rainy weather.

Animals and insects are really the best weather forecasters.

We rarely see dragon flies, I see them while we camp next to a river but there is no water near where I live. We have a huge lake but its a few miles away.

Maybe because we're on rural village so dragonflies are just normal to us.

I have not heard about that superstition. I have seen dragonflies in my garden and they are beautiful.

Dragonflies in the garden are small but there are also the kinds of dragonflies flying together, sometimes in hundreds, just two person in high.

It's lucky that you could see dragonflies in front of your house today, they had gone for a long time in my place.

i used to see them when we were kids, the big red tutubing kalabaw (dragonfly) and the small thin tutubing karayom (damselfly). i also remember salagubang (beetles) back then. i'm glad you still have them in the province.
