Yes, that picture is of a rooster in a house!! Let me introduce you to Rooster Cogburn!! Now, he doesn't live in our house, just some times when he sees an opportunity to come inside he will.
Rooster Cogburn is our pet rooster!! He became our pet after two stray dogs came on our property and attacked him.
They broke one of his wings (which eventually fell off.) We kept him in the garage to see if we could save him. It was a rough go for a while, but he survived, hence the name Rooster Cogburn from a John Wayne movie.
Fast forward almost a year to yesterday. It had been raining out most of the afternoon, we leave the garage open, so when it does rain, Cogburn can get inside out of the rain. (He just roams free in our yard.) Anyways, Pandora let herself out to go potty, so I thought. So I followed Pandora outside and there were two stray dogs outside in our yard again!!
I tried to shoe the stray dogs off and get Pandora inside. I was calling for Cogburn, but no answer!
Just about then my hubby drove in the yard!! We shoed the one dog off, the other dog left before. We looked ALL over for Cogburn!! The hubby was finding feathers!!
About 3 hours later, the husband heard a sound and lo and behold there was Cogburn all soaking wet with feathers missing!!
Cogburn had dog hair in his spurs and in his mouth, but he made it through another dog attack!! He's one tough bird!!!
~Peace~
