soemtimes they do. also they have the money to get high proced lawyers

Yes and the perfect example is Martha Sterwart. They let her off the hook way to easily. The time that she did do in jail made a mockery of the court system.

at least she was able to spend sometime in jail but then again after getting out she was able to regain her empire and be back to her normal way of life. only the rich folks

they get overboard and when they commit petty crimes they have their money to hire any lawyer they want.

I do feel that they get preferential treatment when dealing with the law. They usually get off pretty much free without any kind of punishment. They seem to get away with just about anything.

I think they recieve the better treatment because of the better lawyers. If you have enough money I think you can make anything go away. They get away with 'murder' sometimes don't they!
