I was talking with someone yesterday about having money and being led to the excesses of life, while using money for just the necessary only allows you to spend wisely on the things that are really needed in the everyday life. Me and my friend visited an uptown neighborhood which I had never been at. The people there seemed to be living their everyday life with all the comforts that money can buy. the items at stores were even more expensive than if they had been at the same stores in the downtown neighborhood. We rode on the cheapest type of transportation to get there. Once there, my friend offered to pay for the food and she shared it with me. I was amazed by the prices of items and food and at the people who all seemed rich and happpy to be living a life with some excesses. What is it like to be living an uptown life? Which one do you prefer; the uptown or downtown life?

I live in the downtown world, but it is another experience to go to the uptown every now and then. One can learn something from it.

I think I prefer having enough money to feel secure plus enough for some extras. I don't need extremely expensive things, but I want to enjoy life.

It´s everyones dream to have enough for the items that are necessary in life. I guess hard work and budgeting can allow one to enjoy life moderately.

I lived the higher life in my younger days, with hubby earning very well and not asking where or how l spent the money,l could splash out on all (rubbish as i call them today) But you know what? l was so unhappy and lonely, today l wonder how l could lie to myself so long and how l managed to live such a rubbish life.I was lonely and sad. So,money does not always buy pleasure, uptown or downtown, l will put my happiness first.
