Pension at 55 or 62 ?

Well I was thinking about that. But since my husband read online that Canadian Government penalize you a certain percentage of your paycheque every year until age 65 .
I think we have to be very creative to know how to make money, because where I live there is not much good paying jobs so. Most people are paid
Minimum wage.

@beenice2 That's why there are so many disillusioned people around. They claim there are jobs out there, yes, but they pay hardly nothing. No one can survive on them. Why waste time if you will be in the same situation as you are now. That is how people are thinking.

I think I am going to take my Canada Pension Plan at 60. I will get less each month but I will get it sooner. Apparently if I live to be about 74 I will have collected the same amount whether I started at 60 or at 65.
If I live past 74, then I will be ahead if I waited until 65. There is no right answer, of course, but here is a website that discusses it.
Determining whether taking CPP early makes sense or not depends on the math of calculating the breakeven points.
