Well I was thinking about that. But since my husband read online that Canadian Government penalize you a certain percentage of your paycheque every year until age 65 . I think we have to be very creative to know how to make money, because where I live there is not much good paying jobs so. Most people are paid Minimum wage. Photo from Francine

It seems there is not many good paying jobs here in america either. They want more money for things but want to pay people less money. That makes no sense.

Inertia4 your right. They want to pay less here too, but want to have as much work out of you as they can get, even if.

@beenice2 That's why there are so many disillusioned people around. They claim there are jobs out there, yes, but they pay hardly nothing. No one can survive on them. Why waste time if you will be in the same situation as you are now. That is how people are thinking.

@inertia4 Yes and you have those low paying jobs they you that you don't qualify for a supplement because you earn to much to be helped.

I think I am going to take my Canada Pension Plan at 60. I will get less each month but I will get it sooner. Apparently if I live to be about 74 I will have collected the same amount whether I started at 60 or at 65. If I live past 74, then I will be ahead if I waited until 65. There is no right answer, of course, but here is a website that discusses it.
Determining whether taking CPP early makes sense or not depends on the math of calculating the breakeven points.

@beenice2 I think we can't take CPP until 60? There is no right answer because we can't predict how long we will live.
