A Russian Superhero movie?

My ex is Russian and I remember all of her complaints about how Hollywood portrayed them negatively and how they were always the villain. The only Russian Superhero there was on Hollywood is Black Widow but her character defected to the United States.
A Russian Producer got sick of the Negative portrayal Hollywood gives to Russians so he made a movie where the the heroes are Russians. I wonder if the villains are Americans.
During the Cold War, an organization called "Patriot" created a super-hero squad, which includes members of multiple soviet republics... ? Sci-Fi Fan ? Don't...

Non superhero action movies and live action tv though still portray them as villains. Tv dramas on the other hand portray their women as gold diggers.

@CaptAlbertWhisker If you want to see really bad, check out some of the old films (and books) with Chinese villains in them. Who were often played by Westerners in the movies.

@egdcltd I think they target Russians a lot because they dont get offended easily. they still watch those movies where they were the villains. I notice the Chinese and Middle Easterns is also a target by Hollywood too.

This is the first one I think that will have a global release. From what I know dramas and romance movies where common there.

How would you feel if Hollywood created a Filipino villain. Speaking of Filipino characters, there is now a Primetime show in the US where the main love interest of the lead actress is a Filipino character, He is dumb jock though but I guess it is an improvement from the loser nerd role US gives to Asian actors.

@CaptAlbertWhisker i believe there are many Pinoy actors based in US who appear as villains. that is an added feather too our cap.

@ridingbet They dont play Filipino roles though. We have Filipino actors on Hollywood but not much characters.
