Uploading GIF in Facebook Profile

Hi! I would just like to ask if there are some members here who tried to upload a gif on his or her facebook profile? I saw one of my acquaintances did that in his facebook profile but I am shy to ask how did he do that because I felt always ignored by him. I searched for steps on how to do it but what I just found out was how to post a status with a gif image. I hope someone can help me with my whim about my profile photo. Thank you very much.

I tried to select a photo to be uploaded on Facebook and yes, GIF is among the supported formats. So guess it should be possible to upload an animated GIF as well. With some programs from what I saw it is possible that only the first frame of the GIF to be displayed, so you would get a still picture in that case. But it's worth trying.

I have tried but the options that I only saw is photo and camera. No options for gif. :(
