I was lucky enough to have a link of a video about a new gadget that has been put on the market for kids as well as adults, to save them from drowning. It's a wrist worn self inflating balloon that when inflated will take a child up to the surface of the water so rescue can occur faster.

I have a feeling it might but in fact I don't have all the specs on it. If you look at the site's link and check it out hopefully you will find out what it's limits and specifications are. Good luck and safe swimming.
