Brian McTaggart reports the news on Tuesday the Houston Astros will activate from the 15 day disabled list outfielder Colby Rasmus. Rasmus had been placed on the 15 day disabled list on August 7 with a cyst in his right year that was operation five days later. Due to his quick recovery from his ear injury he did not have to go to any rehabilitation games in the Astros minor league system. To make room for Rasmus on the Astros 25 man active roster, the Astros have demoted right handed relief pitcher Brad Peacock to their AAA minor league team the Fresno Rough Riders on Tuesday. Since Rasmus has a batting average of .211 in 90 games played during the current Major League Baseball season, he will have a reserve role with the American League West Division team that is in contention to make another playoff run for the remainder of the current baseball season as a wild card entry,

Rasmus has really slumped this season and may not be back in Houston last year.
