Bravery wasn't his thing.
The Cowardly Lion could sing.
He sang of trees of copper and gold.
He sang of The Whisper Birds' strange hold.
He sang of plants the size of trees.
He sang of the Wartbirds and the Onion Bees.
He sang of snakes that looked like fish.
He sang of saucers that caused you to itch.
He sang of honking skunks that lived far below.
He sang of Mustard rats that crawled in the snow.
He sang all day,
And he sang all night.
The Cowardly Lion sang
To fight off the fright.

Reminds me of Lewis Carroll a tad. Honking skunks!

I love Lewis Carroll. If I had one ounce of his talent, I'd be happy.

This a very nice poem for the kids. Maybe it is intended for them.
