Male Celebrity Crush : My Picks

Rock Hudson and Richard Chamberlain

Saw a discussion here about people having a crush on other people in this community. I couldn't participate because I don't have a crush on anybody here. No offense. But it made me think back to when I was a very impressionable young child and had developed a crush on two popular male actors of the day. Rock Hudson and Richard Chamberlain. Rock Hudson. Such a strong manly man and a gentle man. Always courteous to the ladies. Richard Chamberlain. The handsome and noble Doctor Kildare. (Sigh.) They were so dreamy. Crushed on them for a long time. Of course, many many years later found out that they were both gay! It was so disappointing. Crushing on them was a waste of time! Would have never had a chance with either one of them! Oh well! Give credit where credit is due. They were really good actors. Hudson is generally known for his turns as a leading man in the 1950s and 1960s and is viewed as a prominent actor and 'heartthrob' of the Hollywood Golden Age.” Quote sources: Wikipedia

It's okay if they were gay. A mere mortal didn't have a chance anyway. When would you ever have met them? I'm trying to think of any celebrity crushes I have. I don't anymore. I had crushes on rock stars, like Paul McCartney. I had Beatles posters on my wall all through my adolescence.

They were childhood crushes? I thought you liked Sean Connery? Well, you can still like an actor even if gay. Chamberlain was you say was a fine actor and great in The Thornbirds. Rock was excellent in Giant with Elizabeth Taylor and later on TV in McMillan & Wife.

Love Sean Connery. Never had a crush on him though. When you crush on somebody you can imagine yourself with them - unreal and unreasonable as that hope may be. I really had a crush on Rock Hudson and Richard Chamberlain.

@SHOHANA - My husband calls Shahid Kappoor “pretty boy”. I agree. He is an adoreable cutie! I have a Pinterest board devoted to Bollywood celebrities – men and women. My husband got me started watching Indian movies because we used to rent a lot of videos. He said he was tired of American movies, so he went into the foreign section. We got hooked! Now we have Netflix as our entertainment source and are thankful for the English subtitles.
