What a sad day for NASA and the SpaceX team.
They were conducting a test at the launch site of the SpaceX rocket and it exploded at the launch site resulting in much serious damage. That is an understatement.
That will set them back a bit. To read the latest report just in go below to my link for you:
So, what are your theories about this?
Was this a minor fluke? A technical glitch, or was it possibly something more serious, like an act of sabotage?
As we near the anniversary of the 9/11 attacks in 2001, it makes you want to think a bit more, and dig a bit deeper to come to a conclusion.
Mostly I think it just a coincidence but the conspiracy theory guys at Above Top Secret will be all over this I imagine.

Unless it comes out as sabatage I'm inclined to think technical reasons. We are not dealing with gasing up the ole family wagon for a weekend trip. These rockets are extremely dangerous and space travel is not a walk in the park. They best look at their procedures and correct them as that can be less expensive than not. - please share and keep us posted thru replies if you learn anything new will you

I just keep my fingers crossed that they can rule that out and fix things in time for the next launch.

Wow, that's going to be a major setback for them. At least there's a glimmer of good news here, since there were no injuries sustained when the explosion happened. I'm sure they'll be conducting a thorough investigation to find out what occurred and try to keep it from happening again in the future.

If this had happened with a manned launch at the actual launch window, it would more likely be something from unknown origins.
