Would you let your 1 year old play in the rain? / myLot

My little boy loves to play outside, since he learned to walk I let him out of the house as long as the gate is closed. And all he would do is roam around the house. Pluck anything from the pot, sometimes he left my basil without leaves or my spring onions on the ground. He would throw tantrums during rainy days because he cannot go outside and play. I would only sing him rain rain go away and let some drops on his hand. One rainy day I decided to let him play outside but not for long. I only let him out for about 10 minutes and bring him outside, bathe him with warm water and put on warm clothes. Luckily he did not got sick so I guess it is safe to let him out again.

yeah...as long as you warm him up after...it shouldn't be a problem. I have warm tea and a warm shower after i get drenched in the rain.

i don't know if it's still safe but i think it's also good to introduce our kids to these .. it's nice to play in the rain..

i can't help laughing at what he did to your plants! hahaha! it's good that you bathe him in warm water afterwards.

@hereandthere I had plants that are hanged also and was never spared from him lol. I caught him one time hitting my orchids using a stick which I did not know where he got it from. He seems to be very resourceful

At the preschool, we let the kids play in the rain. It doesn't seem to make them sick. If it's nature, it's good, I say!

It was what the oldies told us even when we are young we are not allowed to play outside when it rains. I just keep my fingers crossed while looking at him enjoying the rain.
