Ancient Egyptians used to burry gold with them because they thought they will be reborn again. Do you believe that? No, you won't wake up from your dead body but your soul will be reborn again at the end of the world aka Day of judgment.

The Holy Bible says that it is appointed once unto man to die and then to face the judgement. Jesus promised that he was going away to prepare a place for us (his followers) so that where he was, we would be also.
