A New Month and Cooler Weather!

Actually, we have a storm on the way and I hope that it will not be severe. The weather has cooled down a bit and as we move away from the summer heat, I will be much happier.
Autumn is my favorite season, but then winter is not far away. I cleaned up my flower pots on the front porch yesterday and I want to refresh my hummingbird feeders this weekend. The hummers are still coming every day.
Then, as we move into the winter months, the hummers will head south and I will put out the bird feeders for the birds who stay here for the winter. I need to purchase some suet soon.
I am certainly looking forward to cooler weather. Yesterday, I had to run some errands and it was still too hot for me in the mid-80s.
I have friends coming over this evening to play SPADES and I’m getting some snacks and drinks ready later this afternoon.
I look forward to an evening of FUN, playing cards with friends. What do you have planned for the weekend? It’s a “holiday” weekend here in the USA, so many people are out of town.
I have a cookout to attend tomorrow. It’s really a surprise party for someone. Not for her birthday, but for the 25th anniversary she is reaching this year in her chosen vocation.

I love Autumn but last few years, it make me sad in a way,l know it`s getting cooler and my bones dont appreciate cold.
I hate summers, at 44, im all hot flushes and summer is not the best time,but at least hot flashes come and pass,joint pains are like permanently there when it`S cold, it`S like non-stop suffering.
Enjoy your card games.Are you a good looser when you play cards?

Is this your monsoon season? Yes, we expect the temperatures to drop down this month as we head towards winter. I hope we have a nice Autumn though.

@responsiveme OK Monsoon season is over. I'm sure you got a lot of rain. Now you have to deal with the HOT weather. It's been very HOT here also. Try to stay cool.

I'll be getting out and about with a friend, not sure which day yet. We like to go out to the thrift and dollar stores, sometimes we go look in the antique stores too. Sunday is my dad's 98th birthday so we will be going to see him at the nursing home. I'll bake some cookies to take to him. I have to check with my daughter and see if they are going out of town or not.

We had a great time this afternoon playing cards and eating some good food too.
Your DAD is 98 years old. How wonderful. I hope he enjoys a measure of good health. Getting older is no fun. I'll be 75 years old in October this year.
I love to go to thrift stores too. I went Wednesday to a new one and found several things. I purchased two small photo albums, a stainless steel lid for my fry pan. I don't know what happened to the one I had. I washed this one up and it fits perfect.
I also found a gorgeous black top with a glitzy trim. All this for just over $3. It was a 1/2 price day for seniors, so I picked the right day.
I go to thrift stores all the time and we have brand new Dollar Tree so I'm always stopping in there for numerous things. In fact, I got the colorful paper plates and napkins for our food we ate this afternoon at the Dollar Tree yesterday.
