A half hour passed. It was time to eat. Flavoid called the children over to two long tables. The tables were made of Xcona wood. The chairs were designed to resemble mirror creatures. "Sit down," said Flavoid. "I want you to taste the feast that I have prepared for you. I'm sure that you'll like it." "What in the world is this?'' asked Lucy. "It looks like green mushrooms." "Yes, green mushrooms. Also, with malaja sauce. Quite tasty and filling. Try the pink golot beans. They are delicious. We do not serve meat here. You will get used to become algreans. Algreans do not eat meat. Try this drink. It is called Monsaan. It has a smooth, satisfying taste. It will perk up your body." The children tried all the different foods. Sarah cried, "I want to eat a hamburger. I don't want to eat anymore of this food." Flavoid looked upset, "There are no cows in the 10th dimension. There are no steaks, hamburgers, pork, chicken, or any other meat products. Get used to it." After awhile, the children were led to the Quonsa Huts. Here you may go to the bathroom. Make it quick. We are going to board the bus and visit a new void." When every one was done, the children approached Bus 32. It looked completely different. "Your bus now has some new features. It is designed to ride on all kinds of surfaces. It can glide in water. It can fly in the sky. Come aboard. We are going to the 3rd void. It is very unusual and very dangerous. It is known as Swamp Hill. You will be exposed to creatures that might make your skin crawl. As long as you listen to me, you shall be relatively safe." Max looked startled, "What do you mean relatively safe? Are we going to be safe or not?" Flavoid did not like the interruption. "Children have been careless here. Some have perished. I'm sure that you will follow directions and be more careful. No more questions. We are off to Swamp Hill." The next segment of this story will feature the menacing void of Swamp Hill. Yes, expect another tragic death to occur. Tomorrow I shall write about this dangerous void.
