As like other things,it is also natural. We often see some females hesitates to get period's napkin from vendor in presence of males, while it is natural. And also we could see some guys when some females asking for napkin from vendor, they start to stare them unusually. Though there is no such unusual thing to stare and what unusual is just one's view and thought. What is your thought on this? Image source : youtube

I don't think that's the thing in my country, they're not ashamed simply because they really need it. I mean, I had bought some of those for grandma so there's no problem there.

Yet there are countries where people still feel ashamed and hesitate to even discuss. So you didn't notice this discussion not going ahead.

a man buying sanitary napkins is just okay here in my place. after all, the woman is still a child-bearing age so no need to be embarrassed about, especially if the husband is the one buying the napkin for his wife. i remember my father- he would buy napkins for me in the store in our neighbor. he saw me grimacing in pain when i went out to buy so he volunteered that he will buy for me.

No, it's already normal in the Philippines and of course it is very natural in my adapted county Germany. My Filipino nephew even bought one pack for me when I was sick. He offered me to buy it himself and I was surprised because I never expected that.
