The children walked out of the building into a hot, steamy sun. "What's this about?' asked Lucy. "The temperature has gone up at least 20 degrees. How is that possible?" "Nothing is what is seems to be in Dimension 10. Now put on your goggles. We are about to step into a very wet, forbidden area." Flavoid walked slowly on the damp ground. The air became increasingly humid. "Hey, what about mosquitoes? There must be tons of mosquitoes here," said Max. "No mosquitoes exist in Dimension 10. It is one of the few things that you have to worry about," responded Flavoid. A small, armor shaped creature went across their path. "What is that?" asked James. "Ah, that is a Grimet and a baby one at that. Grimlets can grow to be five times larger. They are relatively harmless unless provoked. An upset Grimlet can send out a stink clover. It's much like a skunk but much worse." The children continued their walk and then stopped and looked at a most unusual tree. "What kind of tree is this?" asked Ron. "That is a Twisted Bozz. You will see many more in Swamp Hill. The Twisted Bozz twists and turns continually. Not to worry. They are not bothered by animals or humans." A few minutes later, a strange flying figure descended from the sky. It looked as big as an eagle. It had sharp talons. It's beak was gold in color. The feathers were sharp and pointy. "What in the world is that?" asked Wally. "It looks like it's coming our way." Flavoid lifted his hand. He waved at the bird and it went away. "That was a flying Warbot. They are very dangerous. I've seen one bite the head off of a human in one quick gulp. I'm afraid that you will have to seek protection if you encounter one of them." "And how are we going to do it?" asked George. "We can't just wave our hand at it and make it disappear. You really expect us to survive through this muck and sweat without you around. You're crazy!" "Once again you have tried my patience. George, I am sending you back to the bus as a hairy Newt. You shall remain there until we are done here." As George was about to speak, Flavoid turned George into a hairy Newt. He went flying into the air and went right into Bus 32. "Now let's move on." "Say look," shouted Paul. "What are those funny looking creatures. They seem to be playing with each other. I like the bushy, brown one. It looks like a squirrel. And what about that long, green one with the horn sticking out of its head. What is that called?" Flavoid responded, "You are now seeing Grogs and Slithers. The Grog is the bushy one. The Slither is the green one. They are playing a wonderful game called Thrush and Thrash. All that you really have to know is that in the end, one lives and one dies. The Grog has sharp teeth. The Slither releases a toxic venom. Stay clear of both." For the next hour, the children became more exhausted. When are we going to go back to the building?" asked Peter. "I'm starving. I'm also in need of drinking. I feel like I'm becoming sick." "Okay," said Flavoid. "Tomorrow you shall go in groups through Swamp Hill. You will be monitored by me for your safety. We shall now go back to the building where you can cool off and be served your dinner." "Thank you," said Emily. It was one of the few times that Flavoid would ever hear those words. Nonetheless, he was pleased. After all, no one had lost their life in Swamp Hill. Tomorrow could be a different story. There will be one more part in this part of the story. I can assure you that things will not go so well for our children as they walk in groups through this creepy land. Be ready for a few surprises tomorrow.
